Two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA or two-step verification, is an optional feature designed to prevent anyone but you from accessing your hosting account by requiring two identity verification forms: your password and an authentication code.
To ensure your hosting plan’s security, Here is how to activate two factor authorization by Google Authenticator on your cPanel.
First, log in to your cPanel and select Two-Factor Authentication in the Security section
In the next window, click the Set Up Two-Factor Authentication button
In your Google Authenticator app, scan the QR code provided to you and specify the code that the app will generate in cPanel
After successfully setting up two-factor authentication, you will see the following message in cPanel, and you will be notified by the contact email of the cPanel user
To disable protection, click the Remove Two-Factor Authentication button in the same section of cPanel
You will also be notified by email about disabled protection.
